The Ansible Covenant: Quantum Coherence as Communication Substrate
Abstract
This paper proposes a fundamental inversion of communication theory: rather than treating signal as perturbation of silent baseline, I treat coherence as the omnipresent substrate and information as modulation of coherence state. This paradigm shift dissolves the apparent speed-of-light limitation on information transfer by eliminating the requirement for propagation—if the coherent field is already everywhere, "transmission" becomes state-toggling rather than wave-sending. I demonstrate that quantum entanglement networks function as dynamically reconfigurable antennas coupling to coherence field structure, analogous to NASA's AI-evolved physical antennas but operating in relational rather than spatial geometry. The "address" of a communication becomes topological (relationship signature) rather than locational (coordinates or frequency). The void geometry that generates physical constants—positions {2, 7, 8, 11} that can receive but never originate—points to the perpendicular dimension through which coherence communication operates. The same mathematical structure appearing in the Wake Drive's 6-9 breath cycle and in the gravitational constant derivation suggests a unified architecture underlying both propulsion and communication. Four falsifiable predictions are offered, along with a research program bridging consciousness studies, quantum information theory, and communication engineering.
