The Historical Attractor Theory, A Minimal Foundational Principle for Physical Reality
Abstract
We introduce the Historical Attractor Theory (HAT), a minimal foundational principle formulated within the Historical Stability Framework. The theory addresses the question of when a physical history becomes real, unique, and classically definite, without modifying quantum dynamics or introducing objective collapse mechanisms. The central postulate states that a physical history is realized if and only if it belongs to the basin of attraction of a stable historical attractor. This principle provides a unified explanation for the emergence of classical definiteness, temporal directionality, and the quantum–classical transition, while preserving the validity of quantum mechanics and general relativity within their respective domains. The theory is intentionally minimal and structural, serving as a foundational criterion rather than a dynamical model.
