METHODOLOGY FOR USING INTERNATIONAL ASSESSMENT STUDIES IN CHEMISTRY EDUCATION TO DEVELOP STUDENTS' CREATIVE COMPETENCE
Abstract
The article investigates a methodology for using tasks from international assessment studies (PISA, TIMSS) in chemistry education in general secondary schools to develop students’ creative competence. The paper reveals the content and structure of creative competence and highlights the didactic potential of international assessment tasks for its formation. Approaches to developing students’ creative thinking, non-standard problem solving, and scientifically grounded decision-making are substantiated through real-life contexts, problem-based tasks, and analytical assignments in chemistry teaching. The results of the experimental study confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed methodology in developing students’ creative competence
