anshuman365/quantum-ontology-light: The Quantum Ontology of Light: A Critical Review Software
Abstract
This comprehensive review presents a complete synthesis of light's quantum ontology, tracing the conceptual evolution from the classical wave-particle dichotomy to its ultimate resolution within quantum field theory (QFT). We demonstrate that the apparent paradox of wave-particle duality dissolves completely in the framework of quantum electrodynamics (QED), where the photon emerges as an excitation of the quantized electromagnetic field—a massless gauge boson with helicity ±1 satisfying the U(1) gauge symmetry. This record now includes: Complete LaTeX source code for the review paper Python simulation code for quantum optics phenomena Data analysis scripts with visualization All figures and diagrams Full bibliography with 150+ references The Python code includes simulations of: Double-slit quantum interference patterns Hong-Ou-Mandel dip for indistinguishable photons Photon statistics for coherent, thermal, and squeezed states Casimir force calculations from vacuum fluctuations Quantum eraser interference recovery Vacuum fluctuation energy density All materials are provided for reproducibility, educational use, and further research in quantum optics and quantum foundations.
