Gravity: An Inward Geometric Contraction
Abstract
This preprint presents a conceptual reframing of gravity as the universal inward contraction of spacetime geometry rather than an attractive force between objects. Without introducing new equations or modifying existing predictions, the work makes explicit the inward geometric structure already implicit in Newtonian gravity and the weak-field limit of General Relativity. Gravitational phenomena such as free fall, orbital motion, buoyancy, and collapse are shown to emerge naturally as different manifestations of inward geometric contraction. The contribution of this work lies in providing a clarified explanatory foundation for why gravity is always attractive, offering a unified conceptual basis for further theoretical exploration of spacetime geometry and dimensional structure. Gravity was never pulling things together — spacetime was quietly folding them in.
