Abstract

AbstractThis paper introduces C² (Change = Change) as a hybrid dynamical framework for adaptive reconstruction. The central claim is that change is not merely an outcome of processes but the fundamental condition of persistence itself. The framework integrates continuous nonlinear dynamics with discrete reconstructive interventions, reconceptualizing survival, resilience, and development as ongoing adaptive processes rather than stable end states.C² formalizes reconstruction as an endogenous capacity accumulated over time and activated at critical moments, allowing systems to reorganize under uncertainty, constraint, and systemic risk. The model provides a unified theoretical structure applicable across ecological, social, technological, and organizational domains. An extended formulation (C²-II) introduces multi-scale dynamics, resilience reserves, and normative constraints, enabling the analysis of delayed collapse, nonlinear recovery, and ethical limits of intervention.By reframing equilibrium as transient and survival as probabilistic, the C² framework offers a novel platform for interdisciplinary research on adaptive systems, reconstruction economics, and resilience-oriented policy design.
