Abstract

I express the elementary charge from atomic observables :This result: (i) requires no prior knowledge of e, α, h,c, or a0; (ii) uses only Compton scattering and hydrogenspectroscopy measurements; (iii) matches CODATA toeight significant figures; (iv) reduces SI base dimensionsfrom four to three. The derivation yields e = √(E_Ly · √(λ̄_c · λ_Ly / π)) This result identifies the hydrogen atom as a topologicalsource of the elementary charge, suggesting thatThe conventional view treats e as a primitive in-put may be inverted: the atom does not obey thecharge; the atom expresses it.
