Abstract

Abstract The Manifesto Philosophy in the PALOP proposes the reactivation of the Conference of Nationalist Organizations of the Portuguese Colonies (CONCP) as an ethical, political, and epistemological foundation for the construction of a shared philosophical space among Portuguese-speaking African countries. By critically addressing the marginalization of African philosophical traditions in the PALOP after independence, the text argues that the CONCP represents not only a political milestone of anti-colonial struggle but also an epistemological event capable of guiding the development of a common African philosophy rooted in the historical experience of self-determination. The manifesto advocates the recognition of orality, endogenous knowledge, and institutionalized memory as essential conditions for a critical, plural, and creative African philosophy, articulated in both national languages and Portuguese. Finally, it outlines three pathways for the philosophical reactivation of the CONCP: the establishment of an observatory of self-determination, the strengthening of a pan-African philosophical network among the PALOP, and the creation of a shared reference corpus. The text affirms philosophy as a practice of reclaiming shared intellectual heritage and as a tool for the emancipation of African peoples. Keywords: African Philosophy; PALOP; CONCP; Epistemology; Self-determination.
