Regime Stability and the Interpretation of Null and Ambiguous Experimental Results
Abstract
This technical note examines the interpretation of null and ambiguous experimental outcomes from a domain-of-validity perspective. Rather than treating such results as inconclusive or merely eliminative, the work argues that they can serve as diagnostic indicators of regime stability and interpretative limits. The analysis emphasizes trace comparability and descriptive closure, illustrating how robust null results and persistent ambiguities inform the validity boundaries of experimental frameworks without invoking new physical hypotheses.
