Einstein-Cartan Meets QCD: How Torsion Separates Matter from Antimatter and Creates Dark Matter
Abstract
I present a unified theoretical framework derived solely from the principle of least action applied to Einstein-Cartan gravity with a scalar field η. This theory resolves three major cosmological puzzles simultaneously without introducing new particles or free parameters: Baryonic Asymmetry: Antimatter did not annihilate away but was topologically segregated into cosmic voids due to a fundamental asymmetry in the spin-torsion coupling under charge conjugation. Matter (attracted to torsion) condensed into filaments and clusters, while antimatter (repelled) was expelled into voids. Dark Matter: The segregated antimatter, in transit, minimizes its action by forming stable solitonic bubbles "dressed" by the η-field. These bubbles interact only gravitationally, perfectly mimicking cold dark matter and explaining halo formation. Cosmic Structure: The field η, identified with the phase of the QCD chiral condensate (η ∼ 〈q̄q〉), has a double-well potential V(η)=λη2(1−η)2V(η)=λη2(1−η)2. Its domain walls are the cosmic filaments themselves. The theory uniquely predicts their characteristic width (~1 kpc) from first principles: the mass scale M=ΛQCD≈200 MeVM=ΛQCD≈200 MeV and the potential barrier λλ, set by spin-torsion energy differences. Mathematical Foundation: Starting from the action S=∫d4x−g[R(Γ)/16πG+M2/2(∂η)2+λη2(1−η)2+ηLm+(1−η)La]S=∫d4x−g[R(Γ)/16πG+M2/2(∂η)2+λη2(1−η)2+ηLm+(1−η)La], we derive the coupled Einstein-Cartan, torsion, and scalar field equations. The sign change of the axial current J5μJ5μ under C, a standard result in particle physics, drives the segregation. Why This Demands Attention: This work is not a phenomenological model but a derivation of cosmic structure from established physics (Einstein-Cartan, QCD chiral theory) and a single principle (δS=0). It replaces the unknown mechanisms for baryogenesis and dark matter with a geometric, testable consequence of the spin-torsion interaction. The author—a non-specialist—developed this framework with AI-assisted mathematical verification, challenging conventional paths to discovery and inviting rigorous scrutiny from the community.
