A SUBSONIC RAMJET ENGINE
Abstract
The invention relates to a subsonic ramjet engine which can operates without moving components. To reach this object, the engine presents a compression stage comprising an upstream flow chamber and a downstream flow chamber. The working fluid is compressed and burnt into the first flow chamber and is expanded into the second flow chamber where its kinetic energy is conserved while it is cooled. The flow can then get into a new compression stage to repeat the process and finally develop an aerodynamic useful thrust.
