A Mathematical Curiosity — V The Topological Collapse: From Ã₂ to A₃
Abstract
The Topological Collapse: Mechanism of Symmetry Breaking from Affine Ã₂ to Finite A₃ We describe the algebraic mechanism linking the infinite affine system (Type Ã₂, representing a topological fluid with zero curvature) to the finite isolated structure (Type A₃, representing a crystallized geometry). This document establishes the existence of a "Topological Collapse" induced by a specific boundary condition: 1. Symmetry Breaking: The transition is driven by the breaking of the ℤ₃ cyclic group, effectively "cutting" the affine topology. 2. Dimensional Reduction: The system undergoes an instantaneous transition from an infinite zero-curvature lattice (κ = 0) to a positively curved, closed geometry (κ > 0). 3. Crystallization: The finite set of 24 elements (extending to 576) emerges as the condensed ground state of the broken symmetry, generating a discrete mass spectrum from edge confinement. This work unifies the infinite affine field and the finite fermionic monoid as two phases of the same algebraic substrate.
