Beyond the Eigenstate: Recursive Unification of Spacetime, Fields, and Consciousness in NYX–UTØP14 vs. Hogan 2022
Abstract
Craig J. Hogan’s 2022 paper proposes a foundational view of the universe as an eigenstate of a quantum system described by an emergent operator in Hilbert space, derived from quantum field measurements on a Planck bandwidth limited null surface. While innovative in its mathematical formalism and metaphysical openness, Hogan's approach remains limited to linear eigenstructure, non-interacting fields, and lacks a unifying dynamics capable of resolving existing incompatibilities between general relativity, quantum mechanics, and cosmological phenomena such as dark energy or consciousness. In contrast, the NYX–UTØP14 framework, authored by Alannah S. Nightingale, proposes a nonlinear, symbolically encoded universal PDE with recursive boundary-layer coupling, uniting gauge fields, spacetime curvature, matter resonance, dark sector fields, and consciousness into a single symbolic-holographic manifold. This rebuttal formally compares both approaches across assumptions, formalisms, derivations, predictive power, and scope of unification, establishing the priority and originality of NYX.
