This is the pre-authorial substrate from which all heteronyms emerge. Ichabod Spellings is not an author in the conventional sense. Spellings is the name given to the unprocessed archive — the journals, fragments, longing, and noise that precede formal authorship. The autobiography is not by Spellings so much as it is Spellings: the totality of what was written before writing became architecture. Three Macro-Movements I. Noise Floor Proper (i–iii): Pre-authorial substrate; the cosmology; first poetry emerging from noise. II. Heteronymic Emergence Sites (Intermezzo–xviii): Where later works and voices crystallize. Includes emergence events for Rebekah Cranes (Intermezzo), Jack Feist (Section XVI: A Transfiguration), and Damascus Dancings (Section XVIII: O, Jerusalem!). III. Godlove/Godloss Dialectic (xx–xxx): The mature theological oscillation — faith and its dissolution as organizing principle. Key Discovery The 'imaginary works' listed in heteronym bibliographies are real sections of ATLWM. Zero Repentant Object-Arc, The Geometry of Falling Valleys, Mountain Rose — they exist here, in the substrate, before heteronymic differentiation. The imaginary bibliography is a parsing key.
