Observer-Normalized Scale Coherence II: Execution of a Pre-Registered Prediction in the Dwarf Galaxy Regime
Abstract
This repository contains the data, code, and outputs supporting Observer-Normalized Scale Coherence II: Execution of a Pre-Specified Prediction in the Low-Mass Galaxy Regime. The analysis executes a zero-parameter prediction specified prior to analysis in Observer-Normalized Scale Coherence: A Pre-Registered Prediction in the Dwarf-Galaxy Regime (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18300480). All definitions, mappings, and selection criteria are applied exactly as specified, without modification. The prediction is evaluated using a low-mass (dwarf-scale), gas-dominated galaxy subset drawn entirely from the SPARC database. No fitting, tuning, renormalization, or parameter adjustment is performed. The predicted relation holds in the low-mass regime with a log-scatter of approximately 0.16–0.18 dex, consistent with the observational scatter floor and statistically indistinguishable from that observed in the higher-mass spiral-galaxy calibration sample. Residuals show no systematic dependence on baryonic mass, characteristic radius, or velocity. The SPARC dwarf subset occupies the same physical regime targeted by dwarf-galaxy surveys such as LITTLE THINGS; however, no external dwarf datasets are used in this analysis. Included are the manuscript PDF, the Python analysis script, the SPARC input data used, and all generated tables and figures required for full reproduction of the results. Revision note: This update clarifies terminology and dataset scope (pre-specified vs. pre-registered; SPARC dwarfs vs. LITTLE THINGS), with no changes to data, analysis, or conclusions.
