Cognitive Open RAN Architecture (CORA) - RTU PostDoctroal Research grant (ID 1.1.1.9/LZP/2/25/248)
Abstract
The CORA project is set to produce experimental research data that will mainly be relevant to SDR based spectrum sensing, Open RAN setups, and machine learning algorithms for spectrum control in private 5G networks. The main data collected will be radio frequency measurements, related network performance metrics, and the derived datasets that have been used for analysis and model validation. Data will be generated in controlled laboratory experiments carried out at the Open RAN Research Laboratory, Riga Technical University. Data will be saved in open, widely used formats (e. g. , binary files for raw SDR captures with a detailed documentation, and structured formats such as CSV, JSON, and HDF5 for processed data and metadata) to provide easy access and ensure interoperability. Dataset, level metadata will adopt conventional research metadata standards (e. g. , Dublin Core) and will be further supplemented with documentation and project specific technical metadata, which describes the experimental conditions, SDR configurations, and Open RAN testbed setups.
