A Mathematical Curiosity — XVII Harmonic Crystallography: Matter as Eigenmodes of the Kashiwara B(∞) Lattice
Abstract
Matter as Eigenmodes of the Kashiwara B(infinity) Lattice Description / Abstract: We present a numerical spectral analysis of the Kashiwara crystal structure B(infinity) corresponding to the affine Lie algebra of type A2. By constructing the combinatorial Laplacian of the graph up to depth 6, we extract the vibrational eigenmodes of the lattice. Spectral Mass Generation: We demonstrate that the eigenvalues of the Laplacian (lambda) naturally generate a discrete mass spectrum (m^2 proportional to lambda), replacing the need for ad-hoc mass parameters. The "abcabc" Resonance: We identify the symmetric word "abcabc" (weight 2,2,2) as a stable singlet state with distinct resonance frequencies (omega approx 0.24, 1.00, 2.19), offering a graph-theoretic model for hadronic stability (color confinement). The Spectral Gap: The analysis confirms the existence of a spectral gap separating the ground state from excited modes, providing a rigorous mathematical basis for the stability of the physical vacuum.
