"Amateur Writing Series 2: Amateur Writing as an 'emotional Device'.
Abstract
Abstract: The core social effect of the "amateur writing" phenomenon represented by "takeout poets" and "miner poets" lies in evoking extensive emotional resonance. Existing research has recognized the effect and function of this "resonance". However, it remains at the level of phenomenon description and lacks a systematic critical analysis of its production mechanism and social functions. This article introduces the "emotional device" theory, regarding amateur writing as a technology-narrative complex composed of platform algorithms, editor screening, labeled narratives, and public emotional feedback, hoping to provide some assistance. This article reveals through the analysis of the communication chain of typical cases that their emotional resonance is not entirely "natural", but is produced, modified and strengthened by the media mechanism. Ultimately, it is demonstrated that this emotional device plays a complex dual social role: while providing emotional comfort and promoting micro-ununderstanding, it may also transform structural problems into personalized moral experiences, thereby fulfilling the functions of a "safety valve" for social emotions and a "repair machine" for consensus in the digital age. This is just an ordinary task to fill an academic gap.To be precise, it has applied new theoretical tools and attempted to explain new phenomena. In the end, it still comes down to this: Use AI assistance within a reasonable range.
