Why Matter Accumulates: Space-Phase Joining as the Energetically Favored Outcome
Abstract
Matter in the universe does not remain evenly spread. Gas condenses into clouds, cloudsinto stars, debris into planets, and dust into solids. This accumulation is often described asthe consequence of gravitational attraction or electromagnetic forces. Yet theseexplanations defer the deeper question: why does attraction occur at all? In this paper, weargue that matter accumulates because space-phase itself favors joining overseparation. Just as opposite magnetic poles attract, matter accumulates because thejoining of space-phase configurations is energetically supported and dynamicallypreferred. This paper reframes accumulation not as a force-driven mystery, but as a naturaloutcome of how space organizes itself when allowed to relax into lower-energy, morecoherent states.
