2011 Psychiatric ICU Diary. Looks at abuse in UK Psychiatric Hospitals from a Patient's Point of View.
Abstract
S.L.P. kept this journal in 2011, when they had just turned eighteen. At the time they were being held on a Section 3 in a Child and Adolescent Psychiatric ICU. They were supposed to be on the ICU for 28 days. They were there for over a year. During that time they faced verbal, physical and sexual abuse. They were also denied water and forced to drink dirty water from taps not suitable for drinking.
