Abstract

Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) compares the citation performance of a publication to the global average in its subject field, normalised for discipline, publication type, and year. An FWCI of 1.0 means the work is cited as expected, while values above or below 1.0 indicate higher or lower citation impact relative to the average. This metric is drawn from Scopus data.
