The Geometric Lepton Spectrum: {1, 9, 151} × 23 Deriving Masses, Generations, and Weinberg Angle from 23-Channel Vacuum Topology
Abstract
The Standard Model of particle physics contains 19 free parameters that must be measured experimentally, including the three charged lepton masses and the weak mixing angle. This work demonstrates that these parameters are not arbitrary but are determined by the integer arithmetic of a 23-channel structured vacuum (V23). MAIN RESULTS: 1. Lepton Mass Spectrum from Integer Geometry - Electron: 2×23 = 46 (double-layer crystal structure) - Muon: 9×23 = 207 (planar resonance, 3² symmetry) - Tau: 151×23 = 3473 (fractal saturation, 17×9-2) - Predictions achieve >99.8% accuracy with zero adjustable parameters 2. Weak Mixing Angle as Rational Projection - sin²θ_W = 23/103 = 0.22330 (exact) - Experimental value: 0.22343 ± 0.00004 - Agreement: 99.94% 3. W/Z Boson Mass Ratio Derived - MW/MZ = √(80/103) = 0.88131 (from 103-23=80) - Experimental value: 0.88146 ± 0.00014 - Agreement: 99.98% 4. Origin of Spin-1/2 - Geometric explanation: electron occupies 2×23 = 46 sites - Complete phase cycle requires 720° (two rotations through both layers) - Spin quantization emerges from discrete lattice topology 5. Why Exactly Three Generations - Fourth generation would require m₄ ≳ 50 GeV - At this scale, V23 lattice stability fails → hadronic transition - Tau represents maximum stable purely leptonic configuration - Prediction: No fourth charged lepton exists at any mass scale METHODOLOGY: The 23-channel structure arises from dimensional decomposition:23 = 3² + 3² + 2² + 1² (spatial + spin + temporal + phase) Leptons are topological knots in this discrete geometry. Mass ratios follow from geometric complexity: linear (electron), planar (muon), volumetric (tau). The weak mixing angle represents the projection ratio between vacuum channels (23) and total electroweak degrees of freedom (103). FALSIFIABLE PREDICTIONS: 1. No fourth charged lepton above 3 GeV (testable at LHC/future colliders)2. Muon g-2 anomaly contains 1/207 ≈ 0.00483 harmonic structure3. Future precision measurements converge to exact rationals: - sin²θ_W → 23/103 - MW/MZ → √(80/103)4. Tau mass residual (2.16 MeV) explained by calculable radiative corrections5. No new physics between tau mass (~1.8 GeV) and hadronic scale BROADER CONTEXT: This work is part of Structured Vacuum Theory (TVS), which has previously derived:- Fine structure constant: α⁻¹ = 137 + 19/23² + 1/23³ + 0.5/23⁵- Gravitational constant from icosahedral geometry- Anomalous magnetic moment (replacing 12,672 Feynman diagrams)- Cosmological scaling: MUniverse = me × 23³⁰ The current paper completes the geometric foundation of particle physics by showing that lepton properties—previously treated as arbitrary measurements—are theorems of integer arithmetic encoded in vacuum structure. SIGNIFICANCE: If validated, this represents a paradigm shift from the Standard Model's parametric approach (measure 19 constants) to a geometric principle (derive all constants from 23-channel topology). The theory makes sharp, falsifiable predictions testable with current experimental technology. The paper is formatted for submission to Physical Review D and is suitable for immediate arxiv/journal consideration.
