Abstract

Physics often advances by discovering new entities, forces, or fields. This paper insteadargues that progress can come from learning to recognize the capabilities of space-phaseitself, already present and observable in daily life. Space-phase can stiffen or relax, attractor repel, guide motion, store and release energy, accumulate matter, and organizeconfigurations through angular modes. When these capabilities are made explicit, familiarphenomena—sparks, magnets, light interference, accumulation of matter, and orbitalorganization—become legible as expressions of space-phase behavior rather thanmysterious forces acting across empty space. An appendix clarifies the ontological pointthat all matter and radiation are themselves configurations of space-phase, so everydayevents are best understood as space-phase interacting with partially or fully-saturatedspace-phase.
