Abstract

This repository includes experimental data associated with the following publicatio: Continuous-flow hydroprocessing of fatty acids: reaction pathways and the impact of lignin-derived aromatics towards efficient deoxygenation, published in Catalysis Science and Technology in March 2026. DOI: https://doi.org/10.1039/d6cy00118a. In this work, the reaction pathways for oleic acid were established under long-term continuous-flow hydroprocessing over a bifunctional catalyst. The metal loading was 20 wt.% of Ni and the acid function was the zeolite ZSM-5 (SAR=40). The operating conditions were: P=40 bar, T=340ºC, H2/oleic acid=1000 NmL/mL, WHSV=9.4 h-1. Mixture effects were also studied by co-feeding guaiacol. Under simultaneous hydroprocessing conditions, the catalyst remained unchanged (20Ni/HZSM-5), as well as the operating conditions: P=40 bar, T=340ºC, H2/oleic acid=1000 NmL/mL, WHSV=9.4 h-1. The data files contain: Data folder: the chromatograms for the online gaseous injections (GC-FID) and liquid organic product (GC-FID) analyses per time on stream (TOS) Data_analysis: all the necessary data for product quantification and mass balances Data_postprocessed: data for the publication's figures
