Abstract

This repository contains the reproducible code and generated outputs supporting the numerical demonstration in the manuscript “Identifying temperature-dependent vital rates from population growth and transient dynamics in two-stage models” . The scripts implement a two stage projection model with temperature dependent vital rates, generate synthetic stage resolved time series under fixed temperature, estimate population level observables (dominant growth rate, stable stage ratio, and subdominant eigenvalue), and apply the analytical inversion to reconstruct fecundity, maturation, and adult survival. The deposit includes the script used to produce Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure S1, and Table 1, together with the corresponding output files (high resolution figures and a CSV table). The code is designed to run in Python (NumPy and Matplotlib) and can be executed as a standalone script.
