Diagnostic Verification of the Nature of the Drain Vortex with Reference to Gravity
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present a proposed experimental study of the formation of a drain vortex in a cylindrical setup with control over the reference frame. The main goal of the experiment is to create conditions where Earth's rotation is locally eliminated to determine whether the vortex forms solely due to the Coriolis effect or persists under the influence of other factors. The experiment is planned in three modes: laboratory, locally inertial, and orientation-diagnostic, measuring the vortex direction, formation speed, and stability. Observing a vortex under locally zero Earth rotation is expected to reveal non-classical influences on mass motion in a gravitational field and provide a basis for further research conceptually consistent with the Ivashura theory as formulated in the fundamental work on the theory https://zenodo.org/records/18199417
