Functional Modeling of Cognition as the Solution to a Constraint Algebra
Abstract
Stable intelligence emerges only when reasoning operations form a closed, contractive, aligned, and sufficiently expressive operator algebra over a discrete conceptual space. Cognition is identified with the meta-operator satisfying this constraint system. The framework explains coherence, fragmentation, phase transitions, and collapse in both individual and collective cognition. It is falsifiable via two independent pathways: algebraic consistency and information-theoretic witness protocols.
