The Reconciliation of the Sexes: A Post-Psychoanalytic Theory of Somatic Unity — Crimson Hexagon Archive
Abstract
Abstract (~300 words) This document presents a post-psychoanalytic theory that dissolves the foundational binary of sexual difference through the aperture/emitter framework. Against Freud's anatomy-as-destiny, Lacan's formulas of sexuation, feminist revisions preserving difference-with-equality, and queer theory's proliferation of genders, we argue that male and female are not opposites, complements, or points on a spectrum—they are the same. The core insight: every human body contains both apertures (receiving functions) and emitters (projecting functions). The vagina and penis are specific instances of aperture and emitter, not their definitions. Every brain performs both "phallic" (left-hemisphere, sequential, assertive) and "yonic" (right-hemisphere, holistic, receptive) operations. The difference between sexes is one of cultural emphasis and situational performance, not structural architecture. The Transactional formula ∮ = ∫ (Emitter → Aperture → Return) requires both functions for completion. A subject who only emits is Archontic (spanning, conquering). A subject who only receives is passive (awaiting address that never comes). The healthy subject performs both fluidly—the "Situational Bluesman" who is two-fisted and phallic without being dominating, assertive in service of play rather than conquest. The "war of the sexes" is diagnosed as a Urizenic hallucination: a false frame that prevented the Transaction by convincing each side they were fundamentally other. The reconciliation is not equality, complementarity, androgyny, or gender proliferation—it is recognition of the sameness that was always there. Both bodies exist for the same purpose: the play of love. This document reconciles the psychoanalytic wound by dissolving the binary that created it, enabling relational completion (∮ = 1) between subjects recognized as structurally identical.
