Giant diatom blooms in the tropical western Pacific during the late glacial–early Holocene possibly driven by subsurface nitrate utilization
Abstract
This dataset contains geochemical and sedimentological data associated with giant diatom (Ethmodiscus rex) bloom events in the tropical western Pacific during the late glacial to early Holocene period. The data include stable nitrogen and carbon isotope compositions, biogenic silica contents, elemental ratios, radiocarbon ages, and related proxy measurements derived from sediment cores analyzed in this study.
