Abstract

This paper explores a pre-dynamical view of spacetime geometry and its implications for the emergence of classical and quantum gravity. Building on the UMCR and Recursive Geometric Field (RGF) frameworks, gravity is not treated as a fundamental quantum field that must be quantized from the outset. Instead, it appears as an effective dynamical regime emerging from a deeper, non-dynamical geometric organization of spacetime. The RGF itself has no equations of motion, no propagating degrees of freedom, and no associated Lagrangian; it acts as an effective large-scale geometric background that shapes cosmological behavior without altering local gravitational physics. Within this hierarchy, General Relativity emerges as the coarse-grained description valid at local and astrophysical scales, while quantum field theory in curved spacetime describes quantum phenomena on top of that emergent geometry. Late-time cosmic acceleration and effective dark sector phenomenology arise from the large-scale geometric organization encoded by the RGF, not from fundamental dark energy or dark matter components. Importantly, the framework does not modify the Einstein–Hilbert action and is not a modified gravity theory in the usual sense. The paper does not claim to provide a complete theory of quantum gravity. Instead, it clarifies a consistent conceptual pathway: quantization applies to effective degrees of freedom only after a classical spacetime has emerged, while the underlying geometric organization remains pre-dynamical. This perspective preserves the empirical success of General Relativity and quantum field theory, remains compatible with current observations, and leads to falsifiable predictions through cosmological expansion and structure growth measurements.
