The Lattice Field Medium: A Computational Substrate for Emergent Physic
Abstract
This paper establishes the foundational reference for the Lattice Field Medium (LFM) framework—a computational substrate from which gravitational, electromagnetic, quantum, and cosmological phenomena emerge as effective descriptions. Starting from a single governing wave equation, ∂2E∂t2=c2∇2E−χ(x,t)2E,∂t2∂2E=c2∇2E−χ(x,t)2E, we systematically derive 127 equations across 9 physics domains and classify each according to its epistemic status: DERIVED (38), DERIVED-EXT (13), LIMIT (50), DEFINITION (2), or EXTERNAL (5). The central discovery is that all Standard Model mass ratios and coupling constants can be expressed in terms of π and small integers derived from lattice geometry. A single geometric constant, X=32π4=146.11,X=23π4=146.11, underlies 22 fundamental quantities with remarkable accuracy: Proton-electron mass ratio: mp/me=6π5mp/me=6π5 (0.002% error) Fine structure constant: α−1=X−9=137.11α−1=X−9=137.11 (0.06% error) Higgs-Z mass ratio: mH/mZ=11/8mH/mZ=11/8 (0.11% error) Strong coupling: αs(MZ)=2/17αs(MZ)=2/17 (0.3% error) Cabibbo angle: sinθc=1/20sinθc=1/20 (0.3% error) Key derived results include the dispersion relation ω2=c2k2+χ2ω2=c2k2+χ2, the coupling constant γ=4/3γ=4/3 (from stress-energy tensor), and the MOND acceleration scale a0=cH0/(2π)=1.08×10−10a0=cH0/(2π)=1.08×10−10 m/s² (matching empirical values within 2%). Validation against 3,375 SPARC data points yields RMS = 0.024 dex for the Radial Acceleration Relation—outperforming MOND's empirical calibration. We consolidate 31 testable predictions across three tiers. This document serves as the definitive reference for the LFM framework: what is assumed, what is derived, what emerges, and what can be tested. The integers appearing in mass formulas (2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, 14, 17, 20) all trace to lattice geometry and gauge structure, suggesting that the Standard Model parameters are not arbitrary—they are geometric consequences of discrete spacetime.
