Abstract

This dataset contains the complete spectral atlas of 580 K dwarf stars within 33 parsecs, observed with the CHIRON echelle spectrograph (R=80,000) on the SMARTS 1.5m telescope at Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory. These spectra are part of the RKSTAR survey and accompany the publication "The Solar Neighborhood LV: Spectral Characterization of an Equatorial Sample of 580 K Dwarfs " to be published in The Astronomical Journal. The atlas includes normalized spectra centered on four diagnostic regions: H-alpha (6562.8 Angstrom), Li I (6707.8 Angstrom), the Na I doublet (5890/5896 Angstrom), and the Ca II infrared triplet middle line (8542 Angstrom). These features are used to assess chromospheric activity, youth indicators, and spectral classification for each star.
