A Reinterpretation of the Observer in Quantum Mechanics, the Wave Collapse, and a Ternary Ontology
Abstract
This manuscript presents Foundational Ternary Dynamics (FTD), a discrete computational framework that derives fundamental physical constants from first principles. Beginning with five ontological axioms (discrete 3D lattice, local causality, sequential time, ternary states, and the priority of potential over manifestation) and four constrained integers {3, 4, 7, 13}, the framework reproduces 40+ Standard Model parameters with accuracies ranging from parts-per-trillion to a few percent. Foundational Ternary Dynamics Repo Central Result: The master quadratic equation x² − 16G²x + 16G³ = 0, where G* = √2 × Γ(1/4)²/(2π) is the lemniscatic constant, yields: x₊ = 137.036... matching the fine structure constant 1/α to 0.21 parts per trillion (with quantum corrections) x₋ = 3.024... explaining the existence of exactly 3 color charges Key Derivations: Parameter Derived Value Accuracy Fine structure constant 1/α 137.0359991769 0.21 ppt Weinberg angle sin²θ_W 0.2308 0.19% Gravitational coupling α_G 5.91×10⁻³⁹ 0.01% Electron mass 0.5100 MeV 0.19% Tau mass 1776.7 MeV 0.007% Proton mass 938.3 MeV 0.017% W boson mass 80.37 GeV 0.003% Vacuum energy ρ_Λ 3.86×10⁻⁴⁷ GeV⁴ 1.0% The vacuum energy formula ρ_Λ = m_e⁴ × α¹⁶ × G*² resolves the cosmological constant problem, reducing the 10¹²³ discrepancy to 1%. Mathematical Foundations: The framework integers emerge from normed division algebras and number theory: N_c = 3: SU(3) ⊂ G₂ = Aut(𝕆) (octonion automorphisms) N_base = 4: Quaternion dimension b₃ = 7: Imaginary octonion units N_eff = 13: Unique Fibonacci-Tribonacci crossover (F₇ = T₇) The j-invariant 1728 = (4×3)³ = 12³ is derived, not selected. The master quadratic roots decompose as 70 ± 67, where 67 is a Heegner number (class number 1). Epistemic Framework: All claims are classified using an 11-category system: [AXIOM], [THEOREM], [SELECTION], [CONJECTURE], [IMPOSED], [EMERGENT], [OPEN], etc. A complete Assumption Ledger tracks every postulate, derivation, and open question. Falsifiable Predictions: No fourth generation of fermions Normal neutrino mass hierarchy Proton decay τ_p ~ 10³⁵ years Tensor-to-scalar ratio r ≈ 0.007 No WIMPs, supersymmetry, or extra dimensions Contents: 95 chapters organized in 15 books Prolegomena (formal logic, mathematics, philosophy, ontology) Book I: Foundations (void, manifestation, forces, constants) Books II-III: Subatomic and atomic physics Books IV-VI: Chemistry and materials Books VII-IX: Planetary, stellar, and galactic scales Books X-XIV: Cosmology, extreme phenomena, emergence, eschatology Book XV: Observational support Complete appendices with constants, equations, glossary, and particle catalog Methodology: This work employs Computationally-Guided Mathematical Discovery (CGMD), an iterative dialogue between human insight and computational exploration. The framework participates in the digital physics tradition (Zuse, Fredkin, Wolfram, 't Hooft, Wheeler) while making distinctive contributions through ternary ontology, two-layer architecture, and self-consistency derivation of constants. Keywords fine structure constant, discrete spacetime, cellular automata, theory of everything, Standard Model, lemniscatic constant, elliptic curves, cosmological constant, particle physics, quantum gravity, digital physics, emergent physics Updates: Fixed some LaTex issues.
