INCLUSÃO, DIVERSIDADE E DIREITOS HUMANOS À LUZ DAS OBRAS DE TARSILA DO AMARAL
Abstract
Palavras- chave: Tarsila do Amaral; Racismo estrutural; Interseccionalidade; Modernismo brasileiro; Cisheteronormatividade. Resumen: This study presents a critical and intersectional analysis of Tarsila do Amaral's works "A Negra", "Operários" and "Abaporu", relating them to concepts of structural racism, whitening, cisgender heteronormativity, and maternal and loving devices. The objective was to investigate how these artistic productions of Brazilian modernism reflect and perpetuate social structures of inequality. The methodology consisted of qualitative analysis of the works, contextualizing them historically and applying contemporary theoretical frameworks on gender, race, and identity. The results demonstrate that the works, even involuntarily, reproduce racial and gender stereotypes characteristic of their time, evidencing the objectification of Black women, female invisibility in the industrial context, and questioning about gender binarisms. It is concluded that art is not neutral, being able to both reproduce stigmatizing practices and serve as an instrument of critical reflection on social structures, highlighting the need for intersectional analyses to understand the political dimensions of cultural manifestations and promote more inclusive and democratic narratives. Palabras clave: Tarsila do Amaral; Structural racism; Intersectionality; Brazilian modernism; Cisgender heteronormativity.
