Social Inclusion in Postcolonial English Literature: A Critical Analysis
Abstract
This research paper studies the theme of social inclusion in postcolonial English literature. It examines how postcolonial writers represent marginalized groups affected by colonial rule and social inequality. The study focuses on issues of identity, caste, class, race, gender, and voice in selected literary texts. A qualitative and analytical method is used through close reading of novels, supported by social and historical context. The analysis shows that postcolonial literature gives voice to excluded communities and challenges systems of oppression. It highlights literature as a powerful medium of resistance, cultural assertion, and social justice in postcolonial societies.
