Abstract

The onset of college life for students poses challenges particularly with the student housing. The current dormitory search process has existing challenges that were identified as traditional search process and fragmented housing information. Dormee steps up as a solution to these problems by offering a platform for students to navigate and secure a housing easily and efficiently. It is a mobile application that helps college students in finding safe, affordable, convenient dormitories near universities. It serves as a centralized digital platform that connects students and landlords while promoting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. With the challenges being eliminated, it fosters adequate, safe, affordable housing access for all. The study utilized the Waterfall methodology, approaching a linear and phase-by-phase development and implementation. The application was evaluated using the ISO/IEC 25010 quality standards with a 97% overall rating while the survey testing yielded a “Very Good” interpretation for all assessed criteria. The application shows strong potential for real-world deployment contributing positively to the digital transformation of student housing.
