Thriving And Sustainable Economy: Vikasit Bharat @ 2047
Abstract
The vision of Vikasit Bharat @ 2047 represents India’s long-term aspiration to achieve developed-nation status through inclusive and sustainable economic growth. This study examines the critical economic, social, and environmental dimensions necessary for building a thriving and sustainable economy by 2047. Using a descriptive and analytical research framework, the paper analyses secondary data drawn from government publications, policy documents, and international development reports. The study focuses on key indicators such as economic growth trends, human capital development, sustainability initiatives, and governance reforms. The findings suggest that sustained economic growth alone is insufficient to achieve the Vision 2047 goals unless complemented by environmental sustainability, equitable human development, and institutional strengthening. The study highlights the importance of green transition, skill development, technological innovation, and policy coherence in ensuring long-term economic resilience. The paper concludes by proposing strategic policy measures aimed at promoting inclusive growth, environmental sustainability, and economic stability. The study contributes to the existing literature by providing a structured analytical perspective on India’s developmental roadmap towards a sustainable and developed economy.
