Abstract

The whitepaper explores the evolution of the Digital Twin into a strategic platform for the simulation and management of UAM vertiports and outlines the technical and funcitonal specificiations required to build an immersive simulator for urban air mobility platforms. The Vertiport Simulator tool enables the simulation of complex scenarios (such as passenger and baggage flows) and identifies a high-level digital service portfolio to support data driven maintenance strategies and operational optimization, reducing risks and aiding the decision-making process from the early design stages.
