Deterministic Operational Framework for Orbital Time-Series Structural Analysis
Abstract
This dossier presents a deterministic operational framework for the structural analysis of orbital time-series, developed to identify recurrent patterns, persistent dynamic regimes, and robust structural properties directly observable in the data. The approach is intentionally observational and descriptive: it does not introduce alternative physical models, does not modify the underlying assumptions embedded in the source datasets, and does not claim causal interpretation. The work is explicitly positioned upstream of theoretical explanation, with the goal of providing a reproducible and verifiable methodological reference suitable for subsequent comparative or interpretative studies. E01 - Chapter 1 – Context of th… Methodological principles The framework is built around declared principles of: determinism (identical inputs produce identical outputs); reproducibility and transparent execution; modularity (stage-based pipeline, independently verifiable); non-optimizing design (no case-specific tuning or adaptive parameter adjustment). E03 – Chapter 3 – Analysis Pipe… Dossier contents The dossier includes: contextual framing and analysis philosophy (strict separation between observation, description, and interpretation); E01 - Chapter 1 – Context of th… detailed description of data sources and selection criteria, based exclusively on public authoritative repositories; E02 – Chapter 2 – Data Sources full analysis pipeline architecture (ingestion, normalization, preprocessing, derived quantities, baseline construction, residual extraction); E03 – Chapter 3 – Analysis Pipe… operational criteria for identifying dynamic regimes (persistence, recurrence, internal coherence); E07 – Chapter 7 – Identificatio… cross-object comparative analysis and structural synthesis across multiple datasets; E08 – Chapter 8 – Comparative A… robustness tests (FULL vs REDUCED comparisons, segmentation sensitivity, controlled variations) to distinguish persistent structures from potential numerical or resolution artifacts; E09 – Chapter 9 – Robustness An… a final descriptive conclusion chapter explicitly stating interpretative limits and open questions. E10 – Chapter 10 – Conclusions Operational Appendix (Mathematical Definitions) The dossier also includes an appendix providing complete operational mathematical definitions for all derived quantities and analytical constructs. The appendix formally specifies, in a deterministic and reproducible manner: data space and notation (orbital state vectors); derived kinematic and geometric quantities; a fixed, non-adaptive baseline operator; residual definition; structural metrics (L2 energy, MAD, persistence, autocorrelation, FFT/power spectrum); operational definition of a “dynamic regime”; robustness and similarity measures (including spectral similarity and peak overlap). E11 - Appendix A – Mathematical… All definitions remain explicit, deterministic, and strictly neutral with respect to physical interpretation: they define only what is computed and how it is computed, in support of transparency and independent reproducibility. E11 - Appendix A – Mathematical… Scope and limitations This work: does not infer forces, mechanisms, or causes; does not claim predictive or explanatory power; does not establish physical coupling between analyzed objects; is restricted to demonstrating which structures are observable in the data, and under what controlled analytical conditions they remain stable. E01 - Chapter 1 – Context of th… The dossier is released as a methodological and observational reference, designed for independent verification, reuse, and extension under alternative theoretical perspectives.
