Affective and Immersive Experiences in the Streaming Era. A Leximancer Analysis of User Reviews
Abstract
This dataset contains the output files generated from a Leximancer semantic content analysis conducted on viewer-written reviews of various television series. The purpose of the analysis was to uncover key themes, concepts, and patterns in audience responses, allowing for qualitative insights into how viewers interpret and emotionally engage with TV content. We collected and analyzed Spanish-language viewer reviews as the primary data source for this research. Themes Map (PNG): A visual concept map generated by Leximancer, displaying how concepts cluster into themes and their relational distances. Central and peripheral themes are distinguishable by color coding. Topic Matches (PDF): This file includes 149 text segments where the word "verla" (e.g., “vale la pena verla”, “no puedo dejar de verla”) was matched. These quotes reflect recurring themes of viewer enthusiasm, addictive narrative structures, and recommendations to watch. ***-concept (CSV): Concept related to each theme, indicating count ad likelihood percent. SensCine/Google (CSV): Dataset after cleaning seeds-aunto-concept (xml): list of keywords, synonyms, stems, and multi-word expressions that predefine concepts/themes that Leximacer track in the analysis.
