HÁ ISONOMIA RACIAL NO ACESSO AO PRÉ-NATAL ADEQUADO NO BRASIL? UMA ANÁLISE POR REGIÕES (2013)
Abstract
Abstract: This study analyzes racial equality in access to prenatal care and adequate delivery in Brazil in 2013. The research uses Positional Analysis, based on the study by Castro and Castro (2020), applying the Empirical Fruition Index (EFI) to the Legal Validity Standard (PVJ=1). According to research collected by the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), it is observed that Black women had less access to adequate prenatal care compared to white women, even in regions with a greater Black presence, such as the Northeast. Finally, it is concluded that there is no racial equality in the enjoyment of this right, highlighting structural inequalities and the need for public policies to promote racial equality in the enjoyment of the rights of parturient women.
