Abstract

We present VES 3.4, a fully causal and stable framework in which dark energy emerges as a viscoelastic response of a holographic spacetime substrate constrained by information theory. The relaxation time is identified with the fast scrambling bound of the cosmological horizon, yielding a first-principles origin for late-time cosmic acceleration without phenomenological fine-tuning. A Maxwell–Cattaneo memory kernel guarantees causality and provides a ghost-free stability shield for scalar perturbations with strictly positive dispersive sound speed. In light of the January 2026 observational landscape—including DESI DR2 and DES Year 6 results indicating statistically significant hints for dynamical dark energy—VES 3.4 supplies a theoretically controlled mechanism for w(z) evolution. The framework further predicts a characteristic Lorentzian damping profile in gravitational-wave propagation, enabling a potential 5σ observational discriminator in the LISA and PTA frequency bands.
