Incompatible Space-Phase Domains: Cosmic Analogues of Like-Pole Magnetic Repulsion
Abstract
Microwave heating of water demonstrates how low-saturation space-phase (microwaves)can easily enter and couple to higher-saturation space-phase (water) when the two statesare compatible. In contrast, like-pole magnetic repulsion illustrates a second, equallyimportant class of behavior: incompatibility between conditioned space-phase regions thatresist smooth joining. This paper extends that contrast to cosmic scales, focusing on longlived contact discontinuities such as galaxy cluster cold fronts, the heliopause, and sharpplasma bubble boundaries. These systems are interpreted as large-scale analogues of likepole magnetic behavior, where differently conditioned space-phase regions form persistent, sharp interfaces. Emphasis is placed on concrete, testable observational handles thatdistinguish substrate-level incompatibility from standard plasma andmagnetohydrodynamic explanations.
