Abstract

Overview This is the initial release of a Python-based Monte Carlo simulation for methane radiolysis. The model will track inelastic events, energy transfer, chemical species formation, and generational data of primary and daughter electrons until 1eV. This will track 28 different inelastic events (ionization -with and without dissociation), electron impact excitation and electron attachment dissociation. To have the program have optimal run times it uses Numba as a JIT compiler. Input/Output Input Incident energy in eV cut-off of energy when tracking stops in eV number of simulations Output README.txt : provides details of event names , run parameters, and summary simulation_results.csv: provides detailed information on the simulation. Known Limitations Currently does not track spacial location and time Currently secondary ionization are not yet implemented License This project is licensed under MIT License Support For questions, bug reports or feature requests: -Email: apkostiu@ualberta.ca
