The Magnetosphere as a Coherence Architecture: A MID/QC Reinterpretation of Planetary Magnetic Protection
Abstract
This paper reinterprets Earth’s magnetosphere through the MID/QC framework, replacing classical electromagnetic field models with substrate-level coherence architectures. Magnetic fields are modeled as coherence channels carved by polarized submergent quanta, forming stable routing pathways for charged particles. The magnetosphere emerges as a dynamic tension structure embedded in Earth’s coherence well, guiding solar wind ions through low-decoherence corridors. Auroral formation, magnetotail geometry, and magnetic reconnection are unified under this substrate mechanism. The paper also explains catastrophic failure under gamma-ray exposure, where high-tension modes bypass coherence channels and ionize the atmosphere. This reinterpretation resolves longstanding explanatory gaps and aligns magnetospheric physics with the broader MID/QC model of vacuum structure, emergence, and planetary habitability.
