Abstract

Overview This repository contains a single-file, deterministic, audit-ready Python instrument for symbolic analysis of orbital phase confinement using authoritative ephemeris data. The tool maps relative orbital phase into a fixed ε-lattice (60 bins) and computes information-theoretic and locality metrics that characterize resonance-like behavior, confinement, and wandering — without performing numerical integration or trajectory prediction. What This Tool Does Fetches JPL Horizons VECTORS (positions and velocities) Computes a canonical signed orbital phase angle in a physically meaningful plane Quantizes phase into a fixed ε-lattice (0–59) Computes deterministic metrics: Shannon entropy (bits and normalized) Transition sparsity Circular locality Band-mass concentration Run-length persistence N-gram recurrence Emits: Metrics JSON Human-readable report Cryptographic manifest (SHA-256) What This Tool Explicitly Does NOT Do Does NOT integrate equations of motion Does NOT predict trajectories Does NOT claim Lyapunov stability Does NOT replace N-body solvers Does NOT assert physical causation This is a symbolic diagnostic, not a dynamics engine.
