CORE AND KERNEL
Abstract
CORE AND KERNEL is neither a theoretical model nor a synthesis of existing frameworks. It is a position. This work investigates the boundary between modeling and experience through a fundamental distinction: body (Körper) and lived body (Leib). While the body can be treated as an objectifiable system and subjected to formal modeling, the lived body resists complete capture by explanatory instruments. This resistance is not a failure of knowledge, but a structural limit. Starting from the notion of core (corn / kern), the text traces its transformation into kernel as a formal processing unit in contemporary sciences, including neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and active inference. Where processing continues without a legitimate stopping condition, overfitting emerges—not merely as a statistical artifact, but as an existential phenomenon. Drawing on entropy (Boltzmann), formal boundary operators (H3, Axis), and phenomenological analysis, the book argues that collapse does not occur through darkness, but through excessive illumination—through explanatory overexposure. CORE AND KERNEL is addressed to readers working at the boundary of philosophy, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence, where modeling encounters its ethical and experiential limits.
