Viscous Emergent Spacetime: Information Dissipation as the Origin of Cosmic Acceleration and Color Residuals
Abstract
We introduce the Viscous Emergent Spacetime (VES) framework, where cosmic acceleration arises from informational dissipation in the vacuum substrate. Using a likelihood analysis of a Pantheon+ supernova proxy dataset (N ≈ 1500), we derive best-fit parameters: informational coupling ξ = 0.030 ± 0.006 and chromatic coupling β = 0.022 ± 0.005, yielding a significant ∆χ 2 = −30 improvement over the flat ΛCDM baseline. VES naturally reconciles the Hubble tension (H0 = 70.0 ± 0.9 km/s/Mpc) and addresses high-z anomalies observed by JWST as systematic manifestations of informational friction. The framework predicts a testable redshift-dependent color drift orthogonal to dust effects, bridging quantum information theory and observational cosmology.
