Abstract

track.info.WRF.zip The tracking data for each simulated tropical cyclone is stored in ASCII format with the naming convention track.info.[TC_Name].[Experiment_Name].dat. Each row in the dataset represents a specific time step (typically at 6-hour intervals), containing the following eight variables in order. [Year, Month, Day, Hour(UTC), Latitude (scaled by 10), Longitude (scaled by 10), Minimum sea-level pressure(hpa, scaled by 10), Maximum wind speed(m/s, scaled by 10)] pr_CASE_EXP.zip The precipitation datasets are stored in NetCDF format with the naming convention pr_[TC_Name]_[Experiment_Name].circle_fix.nc. These files contain post-processed WRF model output, specifically extracted and interpolated to focus on the tropical cyclone's core region (500 km radius). The raw WRF output has been subsetted to a 500 km radius centered on the tropical cyclone eye. To ensure consistency across different cases, the circular area was interpolated onto a fixed 400x400 grid (X and Y dimensions). The first dimension represents the time steps of the simulation, corresponding to the simulation period. ws_CASE_EXP.zip same with precipitation data, but for the wind speed. Due to the extensive size of the high-resolution WRF model outputs, only a single case has been uploaded to the public repository. The full datasets for all other tropical cyclone cases and experimental scenarios are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.
