A Conceptual Note on Inertial Mass Inversion as an Environmentally Defined Response in Periodically Driven Lattice Systems
Abstract
This conceptual note provides a conservative clarification of inertial mass inversion in periodically driven lattice systems. Within established Floquet theory, effective mass is interpreted asan environmentally defined response coefficient rather than an intrinsic quasiparticle property. No new physical phenomena, phases, or experimental realizations are proposed. The purpose ofthis work is to make explicit a minimal conceptual framework that is often left implicit, therebypreserving interpretive clarity and conceptual priority.
